Boring
Wow...This book was boring and confusing.I got it for my international finance class and it is just really hard to follow.It was a waste of money.

Step-by-step guide from the master
This book set me up very nicely for a career in forex markets. Possibly the gentlest introduction to international finance, the book does not waste any time with implementation of the ideas, instead provides you with the requisite knowledge, and illustrative examples. I had the fortune of being taught the subject by the author (Dr. Eun), and so the book was fully utilized. However, other teachers would also find the book an ideal companion to course notes. In fact, the book is so well written, it seems like a tutorial. You cannot go wrong if you are using it for international finance courses. The book will also help you with preparation for the CFA charter examinations.

An excellent textbook on international finance
This book has three major strengths compared to other textbooks in this field. #1: It is soundly based on FINANCE theories. Most other textbooks on international finance have more of an "international BUSINESS" taste. #2: It is more analytical than most others. #3: It is comprehensive yet very concise. Wordy and confusing
The author uses a lot of wordy language to make simple concepts complicated. Also I agree with another review: there is a lot of macroeconomics. I think Dr. Shapiro needs to understand how his readers learn, not how he can enjoy his writing.

Can be confusing, major focus on economics
This textbook may not be a good choice for undergraduate students or for someone who does not have an intermediate or higher knowledge of finance.Wording in the chapters and in the end of chapter problems can beconfusing.Statements are made and then not backed up with supportinginformation.The book spends a large amount of time on a macroeconomicview.

Excellent book.

Excellent and clearly written
Saudagaran's text (2nd edition) is an excellent overview of international accounting today. It's simply and logically organized, well-written, and sophisticated enough, without bombarding the reader with endless detail.
Oustanding material!
International Accounting by S. Saudagaran is an outstanding material on the vital aspects of International Accouting.While easy to read, it is also thought-provoking and idea-inspiring.While comprehensible, it is also comprehensive.These combinations are hard to find in Accounting texts and endear this book to its many users.Read more

I recibed the Instructor's edition book, but there is a note in the back cover of the text:"NOT FOR SALE EDITION" and I paid for it $128 USD. I hope will exist more retailer`s control.

Great Book
The Book arrived on time, and wasbrand new just as stated.

Worth it
I have had many textbooks over the years and this is one of the best I have had.Some textbooks I have not even bothered to read but this one clearly explained the concepts it presented and was a great addition to my instructor's lectures.It gave a lot of real life examples in order to show applicablility and I actually didn't mind reading the chapters.The key learning objectives were really good as well as the questions at the end in order to meet educational needs.The online tools available with this book were also essential to passing exams with good grades.It was worth having to buy for my class. ... A BASIC BOOK
Smoke & Mirrors walks the reader through the arcane, bewildering world of the modern corporation, showing how contradictions suffuse the accountants motives and corporate morality--or immorality in most cases.It is a basic introduction to the limits of numbers, whoever issues them, and highly critical of conventional wisdom. No review does justice to its subtle account of numerous basic issues, but it shows how one must be beware of fiction in today's global economy.

Price vs. Quality
Overall, I found the book pricey given the quality...The layout is also not as user friendly as other textbooks in the field. For every topic it does give an example, but does not always clearly outline the steps obtained to achieve the displayed solution.
